Wale -- or the folks of the Dre Films team, rather -- has been on a roll lately when it comes to his online promotional game. In just the past few weeks, we have seen a handful of new videos from the D.C. rapper. He is really going all out to make sure we know about his relatively new album, Ambition, and the rest of his catalog for that matter. Because for his latest video, Wale has looked to "Barry Sanders," one of the finer moments from this summer's Eleven One Eleven Theory mixtape.
The Dre Films team has filled the visuals with clips from Barry Sanders' storied career along with those of other athletes, including Michael Jordan and Harold "Baby Jordan" Miner. It's a pretty slick watch, and one that's sure to please the rapid sports fan in your household. Watch the video below.

The Internet "Cocaine" VideO (Ft. Left Brain )
The Internet is the new mutant-R&B project from two Odd Future members, Syd Tha Kid and Matt Martian.
“Cocaine.” In director Matt Alonzo‘s clip, Syd gets her mack on at a carnival. And even though there’s pills and snorting and freaky bug-eyed hallucinations and evil clowns, and even though Syd leaves her headphones in the whole time and unceremoniously (physically) dumps her date at the end, it’s still the sweetest and most romantic thing Odd Future have ever done. MellowHype’s Left Brain adds a quick verse, and various other O.F. members make cameos.

@TheRoots "Tip The Scale"
Track 9 off undun, ft Dice Raw
Video Directed, Shot & Edited by Clifton Bell for http://www.ghettonerd.com
undun is an existential re-telling of the short life of one Redford Stephens (1974-1999). Through the use of emotives and Redford's internal dialogues the album seeks to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out 'on the corner'. Utilizing a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented--postmortem--and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun.
DJ Premier @REALDJPREMIER Ft. @Nas & The Berklee Symphony Orchestra) "Regeneration"
When it comes to Nas , Hip-Hop heads have longed for two things: better beat selection and, logically following, a re-connect with the incomparable DJ Premier. Luckily, Hyundai (yes, really) helps bring our Hip-Hop wishes to reality through their RE-GENERATION project, “a documentary film that follows DJ Premier, Pretty Lights, The Crystal Method, Mark Ronson and Skrillex as they remix, recreate and re-imagine five traditional styles of music.”
In this case, it’s Hip-Hop meets classical as Nas and Premo hook up with the Berklee Symphony Orchestra for a refreshing collision of sound and style. There are dramatic strings, trademark Premier scratches, and Nas comes through to set the scene with a potent 16. It’s not quite “N.Y. State of Mind” or “Nas is Like,” but it’s worth checking out, if only to see Premo get his conductor on.

Ol’ Dirty Bastard aka Russell Tyrone Jones died on November 13, 2004 & sad to say November 13, 2011 ODB sister Dionne Jones passed away after suffering with pancreatic cancer. Condolences & Prayers go out to the family.
ODB (RIP) loses his sister the same date he died
Please send your prayers out to Cherry Jones and the whole Jones family as she lost her Daughter today on the same day she lost her Son Russell 7 years ago
Russell Tyrone Jones (November 15, 1968 – November 13, 2004)[1] was an American rapper and occasional producer, who went by the stage name Ol' Dirty Bastard or simply ODB. He was one of the founding members of the Wu-Tang Clan, a Hip-Hop group from Staten Island, New York that first rose to mainstream prominence with their 1993 debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).[2][3]
After establishing the Wu-Tang Clan, Ol' Dirty Bastard went on to pursue a successful solo career.[4] However, his professional success was hampered by erratic personal behavior and frequent legal troubles, including incarceration. He died in late 2004 of a drug overdose, two days before his 36th birthday.[5]Prior to his death, ODB managed to record his third solo album, which has been repeatedly re-shelved.
Jones was often noted for his trademark microphone techniques and his "outrageously profane, free-associative rhymes delivered in a distinctive half-rapped, half-sung style".[6] His stage name was derived from a childhood alias given by RZA, the relevance of which was articulated by Method Man's assertion that there was "no father to his style"

[UPDATE] Heavy D Dead: Rapper had Pneumonia or Heart Attack??
The unexpected passing of rap legend Heavy D rocked the world on Tuesday
as news spread that the 44-year-old collapsed to his death outside his Beverly Hills condominium residence on Maple Drive.
Heavy D weighed 344 pounds at the time of his passing, California law enforcement officials told TMZ
The rapper had pneumonia as well, an associate of Heavy D confirmed.
On Tuesday, Heavy D had supposedly just returned home from shopping, walked up some stairs, and then started having trouble breathing. Adams Mills, a designer who lives in Heavy D's building, found the rapper in "distress" and leaning up against a railing.
Mills then called 911, according to TMZ.
While trying to assist him, Heavy D said to Mills, "I can't breathe, I can't breathe."
On his way to the hospital, Heavy D had a pulse. At the hospital, he died.
Residents from the building have told TMZ that they believe Heavy D died of a heart attack. This information is unconfirmed until the autopsy report is released.
An autopsy is scheduled to begin Wednesday morning, although the cause of death will probably take six weeks to officially determine.
Ed Winter, a coroner spokesman, said Heavy D did not have any illegal drugs in his system, reports the L.A. Times. But it will take some time to determine an exact cause. "We need to see what's in his system."
His weight is being used as one piece of information in the investigation of his sudden death. In 2003, Heavy D lost 135 pounds. He claimed that this dramatic weight loss was for the purpose of getting acting roles and had nothing to do with health concerns.
Authorities do not suspect foul play in this incidence.
Heavy D was one of the most influential rap artists of the 1990s. His hits ranged from "Not That We Found Love" to the theme song for "In Living Color."
In the mid-1990s he became the president of Uptown Records and paved the way for other rappers like the Notorious B.I.G.
He is survived by his daughter, Xea.
